Who we are and what we do
We are a leading WealthTech in asset management and wealth advisory, headquartered in Vienna. Our vision is to democratise wealth management – to make professional, expert-led investing available to everyone. We do this by automating everything that calls for efficiency and staying human wherever it creates real value.
We already have a strong product. Now we want people to love it. We are looking for someone who takes the good product we have built and turns it into an experience our clients genuinely trust, enjoy and recommend – without ever losing sight of what froots stands for.
The role in one sentence
You own how people experience froots. You decide which problems we solve for our customers, how our platform feels to use, and you drive the digitalization of froots – carrying its purpose into every decision, so that what we ship is not just usable, but something our clients love.
What makes this role matter
This is not a ticket-writing or coordination role. It is the role that sets the product direction, drives our digitalization, and shapes the customer experience end-to-end – and, above all, owns the “why it feels right for our customers.” You own the “what,” as the counterpart to our Head of Engineering, who owns the “how,” steering it in close partnership with management and the relevant decision-makers across the company. The process and delivery mechanics exist to serve that experience, never the other way around.
What you need to bring to the table
- A genuine obsession with customers and their experience – you care deeply about how the product feels, not just whether it works.
- Strong product sense and taste: you can look at what we have and see how to make it something people love, while staying true to the froots purpose.
- Product discovery and Jobs-to-be-Done thinking; you reason in outcomes and customer needs, not features or solutions.
- A real feel for UX and design – the ability to own the experience yourself or to steer a designer to a result you are proud of.
- The ability to set and tell a product vision that people want to follow, and to translate it into a clear, prioritised direction.
- A feel for engagement and growth – how a great experience turns into conversion, retention and referrals, and how our platform becomes the place customers actually interact with froots.
- Comfort partnering closely with engineering – turning your vision into buildable, well-framed problems without pre-baking the technical solution.
- Data- and customer-driven; you decide with evidence and know what a great experience looks like when you see it.
- Confidence operating in a regulated fintech context (awareness of MiFID / DORA is a plus) – without being the compliance owner yourself.
- 3–5+ years in product management, ideally on a digital product people use every day (we are open on seniority — the scope grows with the person).
- You work self-directed with a hands-on mentality, enjoy a fast-changing environment, and want to shape your own role over time.
- Professional German and English skills.
Your future responsibilities
- Everything here serves one goal: a product our clients love, built with purpose.
- Own how people experience and interact with froots – leading the decisions on new features, on our customer portal as the place customers engage with us, and on a clear product vision that stays true to what froots stands for.
- Drive the digitalization of froots: make our strong solution genuinely accessible and engaging across the whole customer lifecycle — a seamless platform experience for new and existing customers alike, so that using froots feels as easy as “your pension, one click away”.
- Stay close to our customers: understand what they really need, test hypotheses, and let real customer signals shape where the product goes.
- Turn many competing needs into a clear, purposeful roadmap – deciding what we do, later, or deliberately not, and protecting focus with a well-reasoned “no”.
- Own the look, feel and flow of the product – the craft and consistency of the experience – shaping it yourself or steering a designer to a result our clients love.
- Align the people around the product (management, Product Marketing, Customer Operations, data and engineering) and bring their input together with your own judgement.
- Translate the vision into clear, buildable requirements engineering can act on – describing the customer outcome you want, and leaving the technical “how” to them.
- Keep an eye on the market – learn from competitors and best-in-class products where it helps us raise the bar.
- Own success metrics that blend experience quality with commercial impact – conversion, churn, customer growth and referral rate – and stay accountable for moving them, not just for shipping.
What you can expect
- The chance to shape a product real people rely on for something that matters – their financial future.
- The opportunity to grow with the company – in responsibility and position.
- A company culture in which you will genuinely feel valued.
- After an onboarding period, the opportunity to join our employee share program and become a co-owner of the company.
What else we have to offer
- Office in the heart of Vienna’s city centre.
- A contingent of work-from-home days.
- Meal allowance.
- Regular team lunches, events and dinners.
- A highly motivated, diverse and international team.
